Bolton finish up their Bristol Street Motors Trophy group fixtures with a trip to Stockport County, looking to secure a seventh consecutive victory.

Wanderers, who have already assured themselves of a place in the knockout stages of a competition in which they were eventual winners last season, travel to Edgeley Park knowing they will win the group and lock-in a home tie in the next round should they avoid defeat.

For County, whose spot in the Round of 32 is also confirmed, they can leapfrog the Trotters into 1st place with what would be a 14th successive win in all competitions.

Both managers are expected to make widespread changes, with Ian Evatt's selection options severely depleted due to injuries and five of his first-team squad jetting out on international duty.

Dion Charles and Eoin Toal will be absent after being selected by Northern Ireland, while Josh Sheehan (Wales), Carlos Mendes Gomes (Guinea-Bissau) and Zac Ashworth (Wales U21) are also away with their respective nations.

With George Johnston (knee), Kyle Dempsey (back) and now Will Forrester (knee) on the injured list, as well as the likes of Declan John, Nelson Khumbeni and Max Conway being out on loan, Bolton are likely to hand opportunities to B Team players in order to make up the numbers.

Luke Matheson, Sam Inwood and Noah Halford could all make the trip, while Ben Andreucci could provide some competition for the likes of Jon Dadi Bodvarsson, Dan Nlundulu and Cameron Jerome in attack - with Victor Adeboyejo set to be rested.

Conor Carty, whose loan at St Patrick's Athletic ended with success in the Sports Direct FAI Cup this past Sunday, is ineligible to feature until the transfer window opens on January 1, when the club will be granted international clearance.

Joel Coleman is available after an ankle injury and should step in for Nathan Baxter between the sticks, while starting roles could also be afforded to both Jack Iredale and Aaron Morley.
