Ian Evatt will have to watch on from the stands when Bolton visit Stockport County, after a third yellow card of the season triggered a one-match touchline ban.
Evatt was booked with 84 minutes on the clock in Saturday's victory over Blackpool as he made his protestations known to referee Ben Toner, who had issued cautions to five Wanderers players but just one to the Seasiders.
That added to yellow cards in games against both Cheltenham Town and Peterborough United earlier in the campaign, as well as a later-rescinded red at home to Fleetwood Town, and the Whites boss says he will be seeking discussions with the relevant authorities over the course of the international break.
"It is a frustration and I will be having conversations again this week with the authorities to find out where we stand with it all," Evatt told bwfc.co.uk.
"It doesn't sit right with me, but it is what it is. I'll have to sit out tomorrow night and Pete [Atherton] and Matt [Gilks] are perfectly capable of managing the team - and will probably be getting earache from the stands from me anyway!"
