Conor Bradley knows he faces a challenge for a regular first-team place at Bolton but is relishing the prospect during his season-long loan from Liverpool.

Bradley, who has five senior appearances under his belt for the Anfield club, as well as eight caps for Northern Ireland, joined Wanderers last week and made his first appearance on Tuesday as Ian Evatt's side ran riot with a 9-0 victory at non-league Longridge Town.

The 18-year-old played 45 minutes at the Recyling Lives Ground, assisting two and winning a penalty which was also converted, and he admits he cannot wait for the season to start when the Trotters travel to Ipswich Town on July 30.

"I can't wait to get started," Bradley told OfficialBWFC on YouTube.

"When I met the gaffer, he told me how we play football and about how he wants to make it a successful season. His aim is to hopefully get promoted this season.

"Everything he was saying to me I liked and it's a massive club so I can't wait to get started.

"12 months ago I never expected half the stuff that's happened to happen. It's been a mad 12 months but hopefully I'm now going to kick on and keep going this year as well.

"Being with them (Liverpool players) every day is only going to help you. Seeing how hard they work, bringing their game into training is a massive learning curve for me and hopefully something I can bring to Bolton.

"I can't wait for the challenge. I know it's going to be tough and there'll be ups and downs but I can't wait. Hopefully I can do as best I can and so can the team by pushing for that promotion.

"I'd probably say my best attributes are going forward. I like to put balls in the box, create opportunities and take shots, but I also like defending and putting in a tackle.

"My first day was yesterday (Monday) and everyone was so welcoming to me and I'm grateful to them all for it. It just made me even more eager to get going and I can't wait for the season to start."
