Bolton have added another attacking talent to their B-Team ranks, with the signing of former Gillingham forward Gez Sithole.

Sithole, who can play either as a wide player or in a central role, signed his first professional contract with Gills in April 2021 and made 22 appearances in all competitions before being released following the club's relegation to League Two this summer.

The 19-year-old made a late substitute appearance against Wanderers at the University of Bolton Stadium last October and he believes the opportunity of a fresh start will help bolster his chances of regular first-team football, having started in just three of his senior outings thus far.

"I thought it would be a new challenge for me to come up north and test myself and keep learning and getting better," Sithole told

"You want to experience something new in your career so hopefully I'm able to do that here.

"It's a fantastic stadium to play in. I remember the atmosphere from playing here last season so hopefully I can transition from the B team to the first team as quickly as possible.

"Everyone wants to do their best and everyone wants to play first-team football. I've had a taste of it, so I'm eager to get back into that.

"It made it a little easier for me as well, staying in League One.

"I know what it's about, so hopefully if I get that chance I'm more aware and can improve even quicker."
