Ian Evatt has confirmed Ricardo Almeida Santos, Oladapo Afolayan and Kyle Dempsey all limped out of Bolton's draw with Portsmouth due to hamstring injuries.

Santos was withdrawn at half-time against Pompey, where he was replaced by Will Aimson, while both Afolayan and Dempsey were substituted inside the final 25 minutes at the University of Bolton Stadium.

After going through a spell prior to Christmas where players regularly reported muscular problems, Evatt admits the situation is of concern and he will assess the physical data on his players rather than working on the assumption that fatigue is to blame.

"More concerning is the injuries really - that really disrupted our momentum second half," Evatt told The Bolton News.

"Rico is huge for us but Kyle and Dapo as well. Three hamstring (injuries) - there has to be something in that, especially following Saturday's game.

"We will get them scanned and looked at and see where we are at.

"It has been a long season and especially since January, we have played a lot of football. Rico and Dapo in particular have played a lot of football.

"Whether that is a fatigue issue, I don't know. But we will do our research, get them looked at and see where we are at."
