Amadou Bakayoko scored his first goal on the international stage, with his header giving Sierra Leone a 1-0 win over Liberia.
Bakayoko, who only made his debut for the Leone Stars this past Thursday, played just over an hour on his second outing for his country, as they bounced back from a 3-0 defeat to Togo with victory at the Mardan Stadyumu in Antalya, Turkey.
The 26-year-old struck in the 31st minute, finding space at the far post to head in a cross from Lamin Conteh.
Bakayoko's goalscoring exploits look set to earn him a third cap at the same venue on Tuesday, with Congo providing the opposition before players return to their respective clubs ahead of the final weeks of the domestic campaign.
