Ricardo Almeida Santos will be available for selection on Saturday when Bolton make the journey to Milton Keynes Dons.

Santos was absent from the Wanderers squad that beat Lincoln City this past Tuesday to be present at the birth of his second child, but returned to training on Thursday and could slot back into the back three in place of either Will Aimson or George Johnston - both of whom were impressive alongside Gethin Jones in midweek.

Declan John was forced off at half-time against the Imps after complaining of a back spasm but will too be in contention and is likely to start ahead of Kieran Sadlier, who made a goalscoring appearance from the substitutes' bench in that game.

Amadou Bakayoko has five goals in his last seven outings and continues to push for a starting role ahead of Jon Dadi Bodvarsson, while manager Ian Evatt may look to rest the likes of Oladapo Afolayan and MJ Williams as he continues to plot his team's rise up the League One table.

Lloyd Isgrove and Elias Kachunga remain sidelined but are expected back before the end of March, while Kieran Lee is set to miss a similar amount of time after undergoing a successful operation to repair a heel spur.

Bolton Wanderers: from: Dixon, Trafford, Jones, John, Santos, Johnston, Fossey, Aimson, Baptiste, Gordon, Williams, Amaechi, Morley, Afolayan, Sadlier, Thomason, Dempsey, Bodvarsson, Charles, Bakayoko
