Ronan Darcy has left Bolton on temporary terms once again after agreeing to join Queen's Park on loan until the end of the campaign.

Darcy, whose only appearance this season came as a late substitute against Wycombe Wanderers on January 11, hasn't started a game for the Trotters since November 2020 and spent time on loan at Norwegian side Sogndal late last year.

The 21-year-old is well down the pecking order at the University of Bolton Stadium and with 18 months still to run on his contract, manager Ian Evatt has handed the academy graduate an opportunity to seek regular first-team football in the Scottish third tier - where he will link up with former youth teammate Luca Connell.

Speaking to upon completion of the move, Darcy said: "I'm delighted to have signed for the club.

"Having spoken to a couple of the players and staff members, it's obvious Queen's are a club with huge ambition which matches my own and I'm looking forward to getting started.

"I can't wait to get in, meet the lads and hope I can help drive the push for promotion."
