Nathan Delfouneso appears to have played his final game for Bolton after he completed a deadline day loan move to Bradford City.

Delfouneso, whose deal with Wanderers expires at the end of the current campaign, has featured in just 234 minutes of league football this term - with the majority of his 20 appearances in all competitions being cameo roles from the substitutes' bench.

His two goals - taking him to a total of 10 in 67 outings since his 2020 arrival from Blackpool - have both come in the Papa John's Trophy, while his last strike in the league came in a 1-1 draw against his new club in March 2021.

The 30-year-old found the net five times in his opening 13 games for the Trotters but suffered badly from a change in system in November 2020, often struggling to make an impact in games from wide positions as opposed to his more natural central attacking role, and eventually dropped out of contention following the additions of Oladapo Afolayan, Kieran Sadlier, Amadou Bakayoko and Elias Kachunga, amongst others.

With the very realistic prospect of becoming a free agent on June 30 looming large, Delfouneso will now have the chance to resurrect his career at the Utilita Energy Stadium as he looks to secure his long-term future.
