Bolton and Doncaster Rovers have been charged with failing to control their players in a recent league clash at the University of Bolton Stadium.

The charge relates to an incident in the 44th minute of the fixture, when players from both teams clashed in the immediate aftermath of a challenge on Oladapo Afolayan which saw Rovers' Joseph Olowu sent off by referee Stephen Martin.

A Football Association statement read: "Bolton Wanderers FC and Doncaster Rovers FC have both been charged with a breach of FA Rule E20.1.

"It is alleged they they failed to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion during the 44th minute of their EFL League One fixture on Tuesday 23 November 2021. Both clubs have until Wednesday 1 December 2021 to respond."
