Bolton will leapfrog Cheltenham Town and go into a top-10 position should they beat the Robins at the University of Bolton Stadium on Saturday.

Wanderers, who have lost just one of their last six games in all competitions inside 90 minutes, were comfortable 3-0 winners over Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday night, despite having a squad severely hampered by to long-term injuries to a magnitude of first-team regulars.

Trotters boss Ian Evatt was restricted to having only 13 senior outfield players available for selection and suffered further blows during that game after Lloyd Isgrove succumbed to injury and Oladapo Afolayan was hit with a one-match suspension.

Isgrove was replaced soon after the half-hour against Rovers, with scans since revealing he could be missing for upwards of three months with a torn hamstring, while Afolayan's ban arrives after he accumulated five yellow cards in league competition.

Liam Gordon impressed in an unfamiliar right-back position last time out and looks set to continue, with Gethin Jones (fractured leg) and Harry Brockbank (torn Achilles) both unavailable, but Alex Baptiste may be back in contention after responding to treatment on a medial ligament sprain.

Xavier Amaechi may not be risked as Evatt looks to continue the phased return of the on-loan winger, meaning Nathan Delfouneso could be in line for a rare start on the left of midfield, with Elias Kachunga operating on the opposite flank.

MJ Williams (shoulder), Josh Sheehan (knee), and the hamstrung duo of Andrew Tutte and Amadou Bakayoko remain on the treatment table.
