MJ Williams should be cleared for a playing return before Christmas, after it was confirmed he would not need surgery on his injured shoulder.
Williams suffered a dislocation to the shoulder joint in Bolton's recent defeat at Wycombe Wanderers and initial fears were that he could be missing for upwards of three months should he have had go under the knife.
Manager Ian Evatt has provided a positive update, however, suggesting the 26-year-old could be back on the field in as little as two weeks' time, with any potential operation being shelved until the end of the season.
"MJ doesn't require surgery," Evatt told OfficialBWFC on YouTube. "His shoulder seems to be improving really well
"He's still two or three weeks away from playing again but it's a positive that he doesn't need surgery."
