Bolton go into Tuesday's league clash against Doncaster Rovers with just 13 senior outfield players available, as their injury crisis deepens.

After scans confirmed a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament would sideline midfielder Josh Sheehan for upwards of nine months prior to Saturday's defeat at Wycombe Wanderers, the Trotters have since been rocked by a further three long-term problems.

A dislocated shoulder forced MJ Williams off the pitch shortly before the hour at Adams Park and although it isn't yet known whether surgery can be delayed until the end of the season, manager Ian Evatt has confirmed the player will be missing until enough strength can be build up to prevent the joint from coming loose again.

Alex Baptiste was also injured in that game, coming off with nine minutes to play after straining a medial ligament in his knee, while Harry Brockbank's absence in recent weeks has been put down to a partially torn Achilles which requires at least a month to rehabilitate.

With Gethin Jones (fractured leg), Andrew Tutte (torn hamstring) and Amadou Bakayoko (torn hamstring) already on the treatment table, it leaves Wanderers desperately short of options when you include the number of players also out on loan at other clubs.

One positive looks to be the return of Eoin Doyle, who has missed the last three games with a minor tear in his calf, although he may have to settle for a place amongst the substitutes as Evatt takes no chances over the fitness of the remainder of his playing squad.

Oladapo Afolayan is just one yellow card away from a league suspension, with the first amnesty date of the campaign due to kick in following the conclusion on Tuesday's encounter.
