Stephen Martin will referee Tuesday's Sky Bet League One fixture between Bolton and Doncaster Rovers at the University of Bolton Stadium.

Wanderers go into the game on the back of a 1-0 defeat at Wycombe Wanderers this past Saturday, while Rovers were held to a goalless draw by Lincoln City that same afternoon.

Martin, who will take charge of the game, has officiated 15 matches so far this season - issuing 54 yellow cards and two red.

His most recent outing was on November 20, when he was the man in the middle for Forest Green Rovers' 3-1 victory at Hartlepool United in League Two. The Staffordshire official brandished five yellow cards at Victoria Park, as well as dismissing Pools defender Jamie Sterry.

Martin's last match in charge of Bolton was in April 2019, when they were beaten 2-0 by Middlesbrough in a Championship clash at the University of Bolton Stadium. He kept his cards in his pocket on that occasion.

The last time he refereed a Doncaster fixture was in October 2014, as they were beaten 3-1 by Fleetwood Town in a League One encounter at Highbury Stadium. Three players went into the book that day, all of whom were on the victorious home side.
