Bolton boss Ian Evatt expects to be without Amadou Bakayoko and MJ Williams for a prolonged period after the duo suffered worrying injuries.

Bakayoko was replaced 74 minutes into Wanderers' Emirates FA Cup defeat at Stockport County this past Wednesday with what initially appeared to be an issue with cramp, although scans have since revealed he is set for a spell on the sidelines with a torn hamstring.

Williams, meanwhile, was replaced shortly before the hour in Saturday's loss at Wycombe Wanderers, with the midfielder set to undergo further tests next week after it was confirmed he had dislocated a shoulder at Adams Park.

Speaking after that defeat, Evatt admitted the double blow presents him with major selection problems in the coming weeks.

"Baka has a grade-two hamstring tear which will be four-to-six weeks," Evatt told OfficialBWFC on YouTube.

"He just can't get a run in the team. Just as we're getting him back up to speed, he's broke down again.

"He's never really had many injuries throughout his career and he just seems to be getting them all at once this season.

"MJ is obviously a big, big player for us. He's got a dislocated shoulder. He's managed to get it back in but it's the damage it's caused aside from that."
