Tom Nield will now referee Sunday's Emirates FA Cup first-round tie between Bolton and Stockport County, replacing Christopher Sarginson.

Sarginson, who had originally been due to take charge of the clash at the University of Bolton Stadium, will instead officiate Morecambe's game with Newport County, switching with Nield, who had been pencilled in to oversee events at the Mazuma Stadium.

Nield has officiated 12 matches so far this season, issuing 59 yellow cards and one red.

His most recent outing was on October 26, when he was the man in the middle for Aston Villa U21's 4-2 victory at Milton Keynes Dons in the Papa John's Trophy. The West Yorkshire official brandished two yellow cards at Stadium MK, both of which went to members of the winning visitors.

Nield's last match in charge of Bolton was on August 28, when they were beaten 1-0 by Cambridge United in a League One meeting at the Abbey Stadium. Seven players entered the book that afternoon, including Wanderers trio MJ Williams, Ricardo Almeida Santos and Antoni Sarcevic.

He has never previously taken charge of a Stockport game.

Below is the full set of officials for Sunday's tie between Bolton and Stockport County:

Referee: Tom Nield
Assistant Referees: Richard Woodward and Kevin Mulraine
Fourth Official: ‚ÄčEd Duckworth
