Craig Hicks will referee Saturday's Sky Bet League One fixture between Portsmouth and Bolton at Fratton Park.

Wanderers go into the game on the back of a 2-2 draw with Gillingham last Saturday, while Pompey held Accrington Stanley to a draw by the same scoreline at the Wham Stadium that very afternoon.

Hicks, who will take charge of the game, has officiated 12 matches so far this season - issuing 36 yellow cards and one red.

His most recent outing was on October 26, when he was the man in the middle for West Ham United U21's 2-0 victory at Gillingham in the Papa John's Trophy. The Surrey official brandished three yellow cards at the MEMS Priestfield Stadium, two of which went to members of the visiting side.

Hicks' last match in charge of Bolton was on March 13, when they were 1-0 winners over Port Vale in a League Two clash at Vale Park. Three players entered the book that afternoon, including Wanderers goalkeeper Matt Gilks.

The last time he refereed a Portsmouth fixture was in September 2020, as they ran out 2-0 winners over Colchester United in an EFL Trophy encounter at Fratton Park. Three players were cautioned that evening, with Pompey duo Cameron Pring and Ryan Williams amongst the recipients.
