David Rock will referee Saturday's Sky Bet League One fixture between Sheffield Wednesday and Bolton at Hillsborough.

Wanderers go into the game on the back of a 4-1 victory over Liverpool U21 in the Papa John's Trophy this past Tuesday, while the Owls were 2-1 winners at Mansfield Town in the same competition that very evening.

Rock, who will take charge of the game, has officiated 12 matches so far this season - issuing 41 yellow cards and one red.

His most recent outing was on October 5, when he was the man in the middle for Charlton Athletic's 4-1 win over Southampton U21 in the Papa John's Trophy. The Hertfordshire official brandished five yellow cards at The Valley, three of which went to members of the home side.

Rock's last match in charge of Bolton was on March 27, when they were 1-0 winners over Forest Green Rovers in a League Two clash at the innocent New Lawn. One player went into the book that afternoon - Rovers forward Aaron Collins.

He has never previously overseen a Wednesday fixture.
