James Bell will referee Saturday's Sky Bet League One fixture between Bolton and Rotherham United at the University of Bolton Stadium.
Wanderers go into the game on the back of a 5-2 victory at Ipswich Town last Saturday, while the Millers held Lincoln City to a 1-1 draw this past Tuesday.
Bell, who will take charge of the game, has officiated seven matches so far this season - issuing 24 yellow cards and no red.
His most recent outing was on August 31, when he was the man in the middle for Carlisle United's 3-3 draw with Hartlepool United in the Papa John's Trophy. The Sheffield official brandished two yellow cards at Brunton Park, split evenly at one per team.
Now in his second campaign as an EFL official, Bell has never previously taken charge of either Bolton or Rotherham.
