The nation will be watching on Monday evening as the television cameras roll at the University of Bolton Stadium for Bolton's clash with Burton Albion.

With the Premier League and Championship taking a break due to World Cup qualifiers, attention has turned to the third and fourth tiers of the English game this weekend - with Wanderers' game against the Brewers chosen by Sky Sports to close the latest round of fixtures.

The Trotters will move up to 3rd in League One with victory over the Brewers - something they have failed to achieve in five previous meetings - while Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's side will go top if they pick up all three points on the road.

Ian Evatt had a threadbare squad to select from in the Papa John's Trophy against Port Vale last Tuesday and he has confirmed he will be without another regular after Declan John was ruled out with illness.

John's absence will almost certainly see Liam Gordon step in once again at left-back, with George Johnston, Ricardo Santos and Gethin Jones continuing to provide cover for a recalled Joel Dixon in goal.

Josh Sheehan is away on international duty with Wales and so misses out once more, while Wanderers have lost the services of Ali Crawford and Jay Fitzmartin in recent days after they completed loan moves to St Johnstone and Stalybridge Celtic, respectively.

Kieran Lee has recovered from injury and is in contention to step in for Sheehan in midfield, while Will Aimson is pushing for a first appearance of the campaign after increasing his level of training following a groin problem.

Amadou Bakayoko (calf), Xavier Amaechi (foot), Liam Edwards (knee) and Finlay Lockett (knee) remain sidelined.
