Bolton have confirmed Ronan Darcy has joined Norwegian second-tier side Sogndal on loan until December.
Darcy, who has been with Wanderers since the age of eight and made his senior debut in May 2019, recently signed a new deal at the University of Bolton Stadium but isn't currently in the plans of manager Ian Evatt.
The 20-year-old hasn't featured in a competitive game since December 2020 but will now get the opportunity to do so under the guidance of former Aston Villa and Leeds United midfielder Eirik Bakke, who is in charge as Sogndal.
Bakke's side currently find themselves in 5th place in the 1. Division at the midway point of their season, which comes to a conclusion at the end of November - coinciding with Darcy's return to England.
