Bolton lock horns with Wigan Athletic on Tuesday, with a place in round three of the Carabao Cup up for grabs.

Wanderers booked their place at this stage of the competition for the first time in four years by beating Barnsley on penalties in the previous round, while Latics also won on spot-kicks - beating Hull City at the KCOM Stadium after initially playing out a 1-1 draw.

Whilst making no secret of the fact that league fixtures are his priority, Trotters boss Ian Evatt remains motivated by the prospect of facing a Premier League giant in the next round and admits he will pick a team fully capable of achieving victory at the DW Stadium.

Evatt made six changes for the aforementioned tie against the Tykes a fortnight ago and is expected to utilise his squad yet again, with the likes of Liam Gordon, Kieran Lee, Nathan Delfouneso and George Thomason all set to come into contention.

Will Aimson is said to be closing in on a return to training after sitting out the entire campaign thus far with a groin injury, while Liam Edwards was pictured running on grass at the start of the week as he continues his latest comeback from knee surgery.

Xavier Amaechi (foot), Amadou Bakayoko (calf) and Finlay Lockett (knee) remain absent for the long-term.
