In a change to previous listings, David Webb will now referee Tuesday's Carabao Cup first-round tie between Bolton and Barnsley.

Ollie Yates had originally been scheduled to oversee events at the University of Bolton Stadium, but it is Webb who will now take the whistle.

Webb has taken charge of one competitive fixture so far this season, which came on Saturday when Blackburn Rovers began their Championship campaign with a 2-1 victory over Swansea City at Ewood Park.

His last match in charge of Bolton was in January 2019, when they were beaten 2-0 by West Bromwich Albion in a Championship clash at the University of Bolton Stadium. Four players entered the book that evening, with Pawel Olkowski and Clayton Donaldson having their names taken for the home side.

The last time he refereed a Barnsley fixture was on April 21, as they ran out 1-0 winners over Huddersfield Town in a Championship encounter at the John Smith's Stadium. Three players were cautioned that night, with Mads Andersen and Carlton Morris amongst the recipients for the Tykes.

Graeme Fyvie and Joe Simpson will continue to run the line as assistants to Webb, while Paul Marsden remains as fourth official.

Below is the full set of officials for Tuesday's game between Bolton and Barnsley:

Referee: David Webb
Assistant Referees: Graeme Fyvie and Joe Simpson
Fourth Official: Paul Marsden
