Bolton made it back-to-back wins at the start of pre-season as they thumped Atherton Collieries 4-0 at the Skuna Stadium.

Wanderers, who opened their summer schedule with victory at Longridge Town this past Saturday, once again handed minutes to more than 20 players as manager Ian Evatt rightly prioritises fitness at this early stage.

Despite the one-sided nature of the scoreline, it took until the 72nd minute for the Trotters to break the deadlock as George Thomason's effort from the edge of the area found a way past Danny Taberner in the Colls goal.

Nathan Delfouneso doubled the advantage moments later, tapping home a Liam Gordon cross from close range, while Ronan Darcy added to his strike last time out by making it 3-0 in stoppage-time.

With supporters beginning to make their way out of the stadium, Delfouneso bundled home a fourth with the last act to hand the visitors a comfortable win on their short journey down the A6.
