Harry Brockbank, Amadou Bakayoko and Ronan Darcy hit the net as Bolton began their pre-season schedule with a 3-1 victory at Longridge Town.

As many would expect, Wanderers were dominant in possession against their non-league opponents but it was Town who took a lead into the break as Arek Pociask headed in past Joel Dixon with 16 minutes played.

The Trotters, who gave game time to 22 players at the Mike Riding Ground, were regularly denied by goalkeeper Lee Dovey, but he was beaten with 20 minutes remaining as Brockbank gambled inside the final third to tap in a square ball from Oladapo Afolayan to bring the scores level.

Ian Evatt's side were ahead for the first time 10 minutes later as Declan John's far-post cross was nodded home by Bakayoko, while Darcy fired home a third in added time after the referee had played an advantage for a foul inside the box on Kieran Lee.
