Bolton Wanderers - 2021/22 Squad Numbers

Bolton Wanderers have revealed their squad numbers ahead of the forthcoming 2021/22 Sky Bet League One campaign.

Traditionally a step taken in the week leading into a new season, Wanderers have moved much earlier this year - three days before they kick-off their pre-season schedule with a friendly at Longridge Town.

Ian Evatt has added eight players to his squad in recent weeks, with last season's loanees Declan John and Oladapo Afolayan shifting to numbers three and 17, respectively.

George Johnston takes the number six shirt that was vacated following Ryan Delaney's departure from the club, while Josh Sheehan has taken the number eight jersey from Brandon Comley - who has now been assigned the number 28.

Amadou Bakayoko (11), Joel Dixon (12), Xavier Amaechi (14) and Will Aimson (15) are all expected to feature regularly, while another change in addition to the aforementioned Comley see Matt Gilks take the number one shirt following Billy Crellin's return to parent club Fleetwood Town.

Kieran Lee has switched from 29 to number 20, Liam Gordon will now sport number 29, while the writing appears to be on the wall for both Ali Crawford (31) and Reiss Greenidge (41) after seemingly dropping down the pecking order.
