Gethin Jones already has his sights set on another season at Bolton, despite the looming threat of a contract expiry hanging over his head.
Jones joined Wanderers on a free transfer from Carlisle United last August and made 40 appearances during his debut campaign at the University of Bolton Stadium.
Trotters boss Ian Evatt recently revealed a trigger had been activated in Jones' deal that would give the club the option of extending it by a further 12 months and the full-back admits he is calm on the status of his future, saying everything will fall into place during the off-season.
"The gaffer's already spoke about triggering my contract," Jones told the Manchester Evening News.
"We'll see what happens and obviously we've got six or seven weeks now to sort stuff out.
"Next season is going to be unbelievable.
"The big teams are in there and Bolton's a massive team and shouldn't be in the situation it was anyway but we're back up there now so I'm looking forward for next season."
