Robert Lewis will referee Tuesday's Sky Bet League Two fixture between Salford City and Bolton at the Peninsula Stadium.

Wanderers go into the game on the back of a 2-1 victory at home to Harrogate Town on Saturday, while City won by the same scoreline against Stevenage that same afternoon.

Lewis, who will take charge of the game, has officiated 27 matches so far this season - issuing 73 yellow cards and four red.

His most recent outing was on April 5, when he was the man in the middle for Rochdale's goalless draw with Ipswich Town in League One. The Shrewsbury official brandished one yellow card at the Crown Oil Arena, which went to Town substitute Josh Harrop.

Lewis' last match in charge of Bolton was in November 2020, when they were beaten 3-2 by Crewe Alexandra in an FA Cup first-round tie at the University of Bolton Stadium. He kept his cards in his pocket on that occasion.

The last time he refereed a Salford fixture was in September 2019, as they ran out 2-0 winners over Aston Villa U21 in a Leasing.com Trophy encounter at the Peninsula Stadium. Five players were cautioned that evening, including Ammies trio Danny Whitehead, Mark Shelton and Martin Smith.
