Trevor Kettle will referee Saturday's Sky Bet League Two fixture between Bolton and Stevenage at the University of Bolton Stadium.

Wanderers go into the game on the back of a 1-1 draw at home to Morecambe on Tuesday, while Boro were 1-0 winners at Tranmere Rovers that same evening.

Kettle, who will take charge of the game, has officiated 20 matches so far this season - issuing 52 yellow cards and three red.

His most recent outing was on January 30, when he was the man in the middle for Hull City's 1-0 victory over Swindon Town in League One. The Rutland official brandished one yellow card at the KCOM Stadium, which went to Town midfielder Jordan Lyden.

Kettle's last match in charge of Bolton was in October 2019, when they were 2-0 winners over Bristol Rovers in a League One clash at the Memorial Stadium. Three players entered the book that evening, including Wanderers midfielder Luke Murphy.

The last time he refereed a Stevenage fixture was in January 2020, as they lost 1-0 at Northampton Town in a League Two encounter at Sixfields Stadium. Eight players were cautioned that day with Boro quartet Ben Nugent, Tom Soares, Elliott List and Michael Timlin amongst the recipients.
