The Boxing Day fixture list sees Bolton travel to Brunton Park for the first time in 32 years, as they take on promotion-chasing Carlisle United.

Wanderers, who are playing in the fourth tier for only the second time in their history, last met the Cumbrians in their last campaign at this level - winning 5-0 at Burnden Park in October 1987 before securing a 2-0 victory in the reverse fixture the following March courtesy of a John Thomas penalty and a strike from Nicky Brookman.

The Trotters began the current season as one of the favourites for the League Two title but spent Christmas Day languishing in 15th position after an inconsistent opening 19 games. United, meanwhile, begin the afternoon in 3rd place, just two points behind leaders Newport County.

Ian Evatt has been handed a double boost ahead of the game, with news that Andrew Tutte and Peter Kioso are available for selection after recovering from injury.

Tutte hasn't featured since damaging a thigh in a victory over Southend United in November, while Kioso has missed the last two games with a shoulder complaint.

George Thomason has impressed alongside captain Antoni Sarcevic during Tutte's absence, so it remains to be seen whether the 18-year-old will retain his place in midfield, while the on-loan Kioso is likely to return on the right-hand side to add some much-needed balance to the wing-back positions.

Arthur Gnahoua remains unavailable after dislocating his shoulder but is back in training and could be fit by mid-January.

The news isn't quite so encouraging on Liam Edwards, though, who will undergo further surgery in the New Year to remove screws that had previously been placed in his knee. The 24-year-old hasn't played competitively since January 28, after which he suffered a fractured kneecap during a training session.
