Bolton could be without Shaun Miller and Andrew Tutte for an extended period, with both players nursing thigh injuries.

Miller has struggled to break into the Wanderers side since his summer arrival from Crewe Alexandra, while Tutte had become a pivotal part of the first-team squad in recent weeks after initially finding himself on the substitutes' bench in the early stages of the campaign.

Tutte was forced off just 12 minutes into Saturday's victory over Southend United, a game which Miller missed after suffering a torn muscle in training on Thursday.

Speaking to the Manchester Evening News about both issues, Head Coach Ian Evatt said: "Unfortunately for us, Shaun Miller has torn his thigh in training on Thursday so he's going to be out again for a while and Andrew Tutte's picked up a thigh injury, so that's the nature of the beast.

"I think everyone's struggling with these muscle injuries as I've said many times with the pandemic and the condensed nature of the fixtures.

"It's just something that we've got to adapt and overcome."
