Bolton have completed the signing of Peter Kioso on a season-long loan from Championship side Luton Town.

The 21-year-old, described as a right-sided defender, joins Wanderers at a crucial stage after injuries to Gethin Jones and Dennis Politic left Head Coach Ian Evatt short on options in that particular field.

A product of the Milton Keynes Dons academy, Kioso began his senior career with non-league Dunstable Town before moving to Hartlepool United in 2018.

He joined Luton for an undisclosed fee back in January and made his debut in a 1-0 victory at Hull City the following week, but has featured in just two Carabao Cup ties since with manager Nathan Jones opting for more experienced players in league competition.

After adding Kioso to his ranks, Evatt admitted he had been chasing the Irish-born prodigy for a number of months.

"I am delighted to confirm we have signed Peter Kioso from Luton who is a player I have admired for a long time and have chased since the start of pre-season," Evatt told

"Peter can play a variety of positions, has great pace and power and adds quality to our squad."

Fitness pending, Kioso is expected to go straight into the Bolton squad for Saturday's League Two fixture at home to Oldham Athletic.
