Bolton are sweating on the results of X-rays, after Gethin Jones was taken to hospital following Saturday's victory over Harrogate Town.

Jones was replaced shortly before half-time at the Keepmoat Stadium after landing awkwardly from an aerial dual with Town forward Mark Beck, with initial on-field treatment appearing to indicate there was a problem with his lower leg or ankle.

The 24-year-old limped off the field of play before leaving pitchside on a stretcher and although Wanderers Head Coach refused to speculate on the severity of the injury, he did admit the early signs aren't good.

"It's not great," Evatt told the Manchester Evening News. "I must say it's not looking good.

"It's just the way things are going for us at the moment that people are getting injured.

"That was just a freak. I think the big lad Beck up front fell on his leg accidentally.

"He's going to go to hospital now for an x-ray and a scan to see how bad it is, but it doesn't look good."
