Bolton's pre-season preparations will conclude on August 29 when they host Blackburn Rovers at the University of Bolton Stadium.

Wanderers have cruised to victory against non-league opposition in the form of Atherton Collieries, Bamber Bridge and Loughborough University in their opening three friendlies of the summer, but will face an increase in quality over the next three weeks.

Although the League Two season is due to start over the weekend of September 12/13, 2020, Ian Evatt's first game in charge of the Trotters will be held a week prior in the first round of the Carabao Cup.

The meeting with Rovers will be the first since April 2019, when goals from Ben Brereton and former Bolton forward Adam Armstrong gave the hosts a 2-0 win at Ewood Park.

This friendly will be held behind closed doors, with supporters of both clubs urged to remain away from the stadium due to social distancing restrictions.
