Bolton have completed the signing of Liam Gordon, who had been available as a free agent following his departure from Dagenham & Redbridge.

Gordon has signed a two-year contract at the University of Bolton Stadium and becomes Ian Evatt's sixth signing since being appointed Head Coach in July - following Eoin Doyle, Antoni Sarcevic, George Taft, Brandon Comley and Tom White.

The 21-year-old, who can play on the left-hand side of defence, progressed through the Daggers' academy to make more than 50 appearances at senior level, whilst also spending time out on loan at fellow non-league clubs Whitehawk, Hendon Town and Dartford.

Despite being born in London, Gordon has international experience with Guyana - representing them in the CONCACAF Gold Cup in 2019 - and he is targeting promotion to League One this coming season.

"I'm really pleased to get the move sorted," Gordon told

"I played against the gaffer when he was at Barrow and after speaking with Tobias (Phoenix) about coming here, I wanted to get it done quickly.

"I'm looking forward to wearing the shirt and hopefully helping the club to win promotion this season."

Head Coach Evatt added: "We are delighted to have brought in Liam, who is a player I kept an eye on last season in the National League.

"He is extremely quick and has good quality with his left foot.

"He is a young player with a bright future."
