Bolton Wanderers have announced a new long-term partnership with sports manufacturer Macron, rekindling a previously broken relationship between the two parties.

Macron took over sponsorship rights of the club's stadium from Reebok in 2014, whilst agreeing to develop and produce kit, training and replica merchandise at the same time.

The working relationship broke down during Ken Anderson's ownership, however, with an administrator's report released in 2019 showing a debt in excess of £300,000 had gone unpaid to the Italian firm.

After reaching a short-term agreement with hummel last August, Wanderers entered into a new partnership with Leeds-based Infinity Apparel two months later in a deal which spanned the duration of the 2019/20 campaign.

The exact duration of the new arrangement with Macron has not been made publicly available, although it would appear bridges are being fixed by the Football Ventures consortium at the University of Bolton Stadium.

Details of the new 2020/21 home kit, as well as subsequent away, third and training merchandise are expected to be revealed in due course, with the new season set to begin on September 12.
