Bolton have completed the signing of Tom White, who joins the club on a season-long loan move from Blackburn Rovers.

White, who will be eligible to feature in all competitions for Wanderers this coming season, links up with Head Coach Ian Evatt for the second time in his career - with the duo having both been at Barrow last season.

The 23-year-old joined Rovers on a two-year deal from Gateshead in July 2019 but has yet to make a senior appearance at Ewood Park, with his switch across Lancashire expected to provide him with a first experience of professional football in the EFL.

White made 19 appearances under the guidance of Evatt last season, scoring twice, and is looking forward to continuing his development at the University of Bolton Stadium.

"I'm absolutely delighted to have joined the club," White told bwfc.co.uk.

"It's been in the offing for a while but there was only one place I wanted to come this summer and I'm buzzing it's finally done.

"I've got a really good relationship with the gaffer. His record last year speaks for itself and it's an honour that he's asked me to come here with him because I know how good of a manager he is."

In addition, Evatt said: "While Tom might not be a name known to our fans, I know him very well as I had him last year at Barrow.

"He is the complete midfield player who can run, pass, dribble and break up play.

"He is a great acquisition to our squad."
