The EFL have confirmed the 2020/21 campaign will launch over the weekend of September 12/13, 2020.

League One and League Two clubs have not been in competitive action since the 2019/20 season was curtailed back in March, while the Championship fixture list was completed this past week - with only the play-offs still to be played in order to determine who will join Leeds United and West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League next term.

With the rescheduled UEFA European Championships due to take place next June, the EFL have confirmed their regular season will come to a close over the weekend of May 8/9, 2021, with the divisional play-off finals returning to their regular slot during the Bank Holiday period in the final week of that month.

Details of fixture scheduling will be revealed in due course, although appeals processes involving Macclesfield Town and Wigan Athletic could yet have a major impact on the pyramid - with both having had points deducted in recent months.
