Bolton's squad will be five players lighter should the 2019/20 campaign continue, after loan deals across the country came to an end.

Wanderers had been due to finish their league season over the weekend but instead find themselves with 10 games remaining after football was suspended on March 13 following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

With loan deals expiring following the scheduled conclusion of League One, Trotters loanees Brandon Fleming, Kean Bryan, Toto Nsiala, Anthony Georgiou and Ethan Hamilton will all now return to their respective parent clubs.

In addition, Connor Hall and George Thomason will return to the University of Bolton Stadium after their stints at Chorley and Bamber Bridge, respectively, ran their course.

At this stage, it remains unclear whether loans can be extended once play resumes and with regular contracts ending on June 30 for many, there is real concern that the EFL may run out of time to conclude their fixture list.
