Jordan Boon has left Bolton Wanderers by mutual consent after agreeing a deal with Swedish side IFK Ostersund.

Boon progressed through the academy system at the University of Bolton Stadium and made his senior debut in a 5-2 Carabao Cup defeat at Rochdale last August.

He went on to make a total of five appearances at first-team level, although none of those outings have come under the management of Keith Hill - his last coming in a Trophy group stage clash with Bradford City in September.

The 19-year-old's scholarship with the Trotters had been due to expire at the end of the season and following confirmation that the club will no longer field an under-23 side next term, Boon has decided to explore other opportunities that will allow him to progress in the professional game.
