Burton Albion are next up for Bolton, who will look to build on back-to-back goalless draws when they travel to the Pirelli Stadium on Tuesday.

Stalemates against Accrington Stanley and AFC Wimbledon may have brought an end to a run of five consecutive defeats for Wanderers, but blanks in each of their last two outings presented them with their first successive 0-0 draws since December 2014.

As is so often the case with Keith Hill's flagging Trotters squad, injuries are once again a concern - with senior options in the goalkeeping department potentially depleted.

Following the release of Ben Alnwick in December, Bolton have relied upon the services of 17-year-old Matthew Alexander to provide backup for Remi Matthews. However, an ankle injury sustained by Matthews may present Alexander with a second league start of his career - having previously featured in a 0-0 draw with Coventry City last August.

Daryl Murphy is a major doubt due to an Achilles problem, while Jason Lowe, Jack Hobbs and Yoan Zouma are all nursing hamstring issues. Kean Bryan is still waiting to discover the full extent of a knee injury, after fluid began to swell the joint last week.

Will Buckley (broken leg) and Liam Edwards (broken kneecap) remain sidelined long-term, while academy scholars Adam Senior and Sonny Graham featured for the club's under-23 side as they lost 5-0 at home to Nottingham Forest on Monday afternoon.

Bolton Wanderers: from: Matthews, Alexander, Hutchinson, Emmanuel, Bunney, Hobbs, Delaney, Fleming, Bryan, Brockbank, Nsiala, Zouma, Senior, Lowe, L Murphy, Crawford, Mellis, Georgiou, Hamilton, Politic, Darcy, Graham, D Murphy, O'Grady, Faal, Dodoo
