Christopher Sarginson will referee Tuesday's Sky Bet League One fixture between Doncaster Rovers and Bolton at the Keepmoat Stadium.
Wanderers go into the game on the back of a 2-1 defeat at Coventry City on Saturday, while Rovers were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Rochdale that same afternoon.
Sarginson, who will take charge of the game, has officiated 25 matches so far this season - issuing 65 yellow cards and one red.
His most recent outing was on February 1, when he was the man in the middle for Portsmouth's 2-0 victory over Sunderland in League One. The Staffordshire official brandished five yellow cards at Fratton Park, three of which went to members of the losing visitors.
Sarginson's last match in charge of Bolton was in March 2016, when they were beaten 6-0 by Bristol City in a Championship clash at Ashton Gate. He kept his cards in his pocket on that occasion.
The last time he refereed a Doncaster fixture was in November 2019, as they ran out 2-0 winners over AFC Wimbledon in an FA Cup first-round replay at the Keepmoat Stadium. Sarginson also failed to produce a card to a single player that evening.
