Bolton have taken Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Anthony Georgiou on loan until the end of the season.

Georgiou, who stepped into the Spurs academy as a teenager, made his senior debut in a UEFA Champions League victory over APOEL in September 2017 but has failed to figure for their first-team ever since.

Capped eight times by Cyprus, the 22-year-old spent the first half of the campaign on loan at Ipswich Town - making 13 appearances in all competitions - with his 10 outings in League One all coming as a substitute.

The move, which is subject to clearance, isn't thought to have been completed in time for him to feature against Tranmere Rovers on Saturday.
