Connor Hall's days as a Bolton player could be numbered, after he joined National League strugglers Chorley on loan for the remainder of the season.

Hall, who signed for Wanderers from Sheffield United in July 2017, has enjoyed huge success at under-23 level during his time at the University of Bolton Stadium but has found first-team appearances difficult to come by.

The 21-year-old began the campaign as the Trotters' only recognised forward and had been due to start at Wycombe Wanderers on the opening day, only to suffer an ankle injury which would rule him out for upwards of three months.

He made his senior debut for the club in an FA Cup first-round defeat to Plymouth Argyle in November 2019, before a late substitute outing against Portsmouth this past Saturday represented his first league game since arriving two-and-a-half years ago.

With Hall's contract due to expire at the end of June, his future remains unclear. However, a successful time with the Magpies over the course of the next four months could be used to persuade manager Keith Hill into offering fresh terms in the eventuality that Bolton drop into League Two.
