Three months later than planned, Lincoln City will host Bolton on Tuesday evening should the playing surface at the LNER Stadium stand up to Storm Brendan.

The two sides had been due to meet back in October but a waterlogged pitch forced a postponement just four hours prior to kick-off.

Travelling supporters are urged to keep one eye on weather reports in the lead up to this rearranged fixture, with heavy rain throughout Sunday evening and Monday set to be repeated - in addition to a yellow weather warning for wind on Tuesday afternoon.

In the event that the game does indeed get the go-ahead, Wanderers will travel with much of the same squad that tasted defeat at Rochdale on Saturday.

Ethan Thomason impressed on his debut having joined on loan from Manchester United and looks set to retain his place in midfield, although he may be partnered by Luke Murphy as he returns from suspension - Sonny Graham the most likely to drop out.

Jason Lowe serves the final game of a three-match ban, potentially opening the door for the likes of James Weir or Dennis Politic to return after they sat out the loss at the Crown Oil Arena through injury.

Keith Hill's decision to release Adam Chicksen came somewhat of a surprise, especially so soon after Josh Earl returned to Preston North End at the conclusion of a loan spell, but with Joe Bunney pictured in training in recent weeks it would come as little surprise to see him debut against the Imps.

Jack Hobbs, Ali Crawford and Eddie Brown remain long-term absentees, while Daryl Murphy may be afforded a rest in attack with options in the form of Chris O'Grady, Joe Dodoo, Connor Hall and Muhammadu Faal all pushing for starting roles of their own.

Bolton Wanderers: from: Matthews, Alexander, Emmanuel, Bunney, Brockbank, Edwards, Nsiala, Zouma, Boon, Senior, L Murphy, Weir, Hamilton, Politic, Darcy, Thomason, Graham, King-Harmes, D Murphy, O'Grady, Faal, Dodoo, Hall
