Keith Hill was happy with Bolton's draw against Shrewsbury Town, after they were made to play the final 32 minutes with 10 men.
Wanderers had taken a 34th minute lead at the University of Bolton Stadium through Thibaud Verlinden's third goal of the season, but the visitors were level eight minutes after the break when Daniel Udoh volleyed home from close range.
The home side were left a man short when Jason Lowe was sent off just before the hour for a two-footed challenge from Oliver Norburn, leaving Hill satisfied with the point that failed to lift his team off the foot of the League One table.
"It's a pleasing point," Hill told OfficialBWFC on YouTube. "One that was deserved out of hard work, energy, endeavour, commitment and drive.
"The goal that gave us the lead was unbelievable from Thibaud but what really made me happy today was the commitment from all the players to do the function for the team.
"When Jason Lowe was sent off we responded positively and we made sure that we, at least, didn't lose the game.
"They're a good side and in really good form this season. It was a big task coming off the Sunderland performance.
"I thought their goal was avoidable but at the end of the day, when you go down to 10 men we're happy with a point."
