Wanderers slipped to their heaviest ever third-tier loss, having initially made the best possible start after Daryl Murphy had put them ahead inside five minutes.

Josh Earl was dismissed for a professional foul on the quarter-hour, however - conceding a spot-kick from which Colby Bishop would equalise.

Bishop added a second on 27 minutes and Sean McConville made it 3-1 going into the break. McConville added his second eight minutes after the restart, before Dion Charles and a brace from substitute Offrande Zanzala completed a miserable afternoon for the Trotters at the Wham Stadium.
