Josh Emmanuel has joined Bolton on a free transfer, after his contract at Ipswich Town was cancelled my mutual consent.

Emmanuel, who progressed through the youth system at Portman Road, made his senior debut for the Tractor Boys in August 2015 and has since gone on to make a total of 29 appearances - as well as taking in loan spells at both Crawley Town and Rotherham United.

The 22-year-old, who features predominantly as a right-back, has signed a 12-month contract at the University of Bolton Stadium and will be eligible for the Trotters' Leasing.com Trophy fixture with Bradford City on Tuesday.
