Bolton will begin life back in League One with a trip to Wycombe Wanderers - a club they have never previously faced in competitive action.

The Trotters, who were last at this level in 2016/17, will make the long journey to Adams Park on Saturday 3rd August 2019 - kicking off at 15:00.

Their first outing of the campaign at the University of Bolton Stadium sees them host Coventry City the following Saturday, before a midweek Carabao Cup first-round tie will precede a trip to Prenton Park - where newly-promoted Tranmere Rovers will provide the opposition.

A double-header at home to Doncaster Rovers and Ipswich Town, a potential Carabao Cup second-round tie, and an away fixture at Gillingham round off the opening month.

The festive period will begin with a home clash against Southend United on December 21, before Wanderers travel to Sunderland for what is anticipated to be a well-attended Boxing Day fixture. They end the year at home to Shrewsbury Town on December 29, before hosting Burton Albion on New Year's Day.

Bolton go to Ipswich Town on Good Friday, returning to home soil on Easter Monday with a clash against Gillingham, while their final game of the season will be away at Oxford United on May 3, 2020.
