Craig Noone will join the summer exodus at Bolton, having agreed a deal to join Australian side Melbourne City.

Noone, who joined Wanderers on a free transfer from Cardiff City in August 2017, made 65 appearances during his two-year stay at the University of Bolton Stadium - scoring twice - but will leave with the club in administration and on the back of a relegation to League One.

By making the move Down Under, the 32-year-old will be looking to emulate the achievements of former teammate Adam Le Fondre, who scored 18 goals this season as he helped guide Sydney FC to the A-League title with victory over Perth Glory in the Grand Final on May 19.

Noone's move, which will be subject to international clearance, is expected to be ratified in the coming days.

The 2019/20 A-League campaign is due to commence on October 11, providing Noone with four months to settle into his new surroundings before concentrating on rebuilding his reputation on foreign shores.
